London--“His murder by the Turks was ten years ago, but it is still fresh in the minds of all believers in human rights,” said Lobby for Cyprus spokesman Nick Kounoupias, referring to the recent decision by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to hear the case of the death of Tassos Isaak which occurred on 11 August, 1996.

On 6 September 2006 Judgement was handed down in the Orams v Apostolides case in which the English High Court granted the Appeal by Mr and Mrs Orams against the registration of the Cyprus court Judgement issued against them.

London--Although it was obvious that representatives of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office were repeating the policy dictated to it by Ankara, at a recent meeting with a Lobby for Cyprus delegation, Lobby feels that the meeting was productive because the FCO learned, among other facts, that some of its positions are on weak ground – if not outright wrong.
