  • British Customs and Excise have seized more than one ton of Turkish heroin entering the United Kingdom, within a three month period in the summer of 1997 (£100 million street value)
  • 90% of heroin in Britain is smuggled in from Turkey and the Turkish occupied northern part of Cyprus
  • top Turkish politicians have been implicated with drug related corruption
  • banks in Turkey and Turkish occupied Cyprus are involved in illegal money laundering
  • the Turkish government does not co-operate fully with British customs authorities to combat the heroin industry
  • more than 430 British teenagers died in 1996 as a result of heroin addiction

Holidays in Turkey and the occupied north of Cyprus can only give the thumbs up to this illicit trade. We ask you to avoid Turkey and its illegal puppet regime in occupied Cyprus which show indifference towards the death of hundreds of young Europeans every year from drug abuse.
