We honour those who fell
we honour those who paid the ultimate price, fighting for freedom in Cyprus against Atilla...

On the black anniversary of the Turkish invasion and occupation of Cyprus we honour those who paid the ultimate price, fighting for freedom in Cyprus against Atilla.

We pray their sacrifices are not in vain for we will never surrender the occupied north of Cyprus.

Greek Cypriot children honour the 6,000 people murdered by Turkish troops
We remember those murdered in cold blood by the Turkish army.

In order to ethnically cleanse the Greek Cypriots from their ancestral lands, Ankara conducted mass atrocities including systematic rape, and the torture to death and mass executions of captured soldiers and civilians, totalling 6,000.

Over 1,000 Greek Cypriots including non-combatants are missing since the Turkish invasion of 1974 . Many were recorded by the Red Cross as prisoners of the Turkish army and many were filmed by BBC television being transported by ship to Turkey. Their whereabouts are still unknown and to this day Turkey refuses to disclose their fate.

We demand to know their fate.

These Greek Cypriot prisoners of the Turkish army are still missing – presumed alive
